She knew it was coming.
She just wished she could avoid it.
But she knows she can't, so she stops. She puts herself into unrealistic thoughts and emotions she wished she never had. She puts her all into people that don't exist, and she knows it's probably for the best.
They can't hurt her, and she won't hurt them.
She's not upset, but then she's not happy either. She doesn't know what she quite feels, if anything at all.
She's just tired of being hungry.
It's the only feeling that hasn't left her.

There's only thirteen more hours before freedom. Thirteen more hours before she can break free from midterms and stress. Thirteen more hours until she's away from crappy cafeteria food and away from drunken neighbors.
But that's so much time, she thinks. In a mere twelve hours she'll have to turn in that paper not yet started, for the class she's not sure she's passed yet.
She doesn't know if that class even has a point anymore.
In fact, she doesn't think a lot of things in school make sense anymore.
She takes a sip of her mountain dew bottle she bought months ago, and reflects on how she got here.
